Language Network for Excellence introduce their new range of resources for Mandarin Chinese

The Language Network for Excellence, as part of the University of Wolverhampton, are proud to introduce their new range of resources for Mandarin Chinese! An ideal introduction to the language that is set to become an essential addition to the business skills your students can offer. The Student Activity Books and Teacher Packs are endorsed by ICAAE, and designed to support their Entry Level Certificate in Business Chinese (Speaking, Listening and Culture).

ICAAE offers through this specification a series of vocationally related language units, which lead to a qualification at Entry Level and Level One of the NQF.

The purpose of these units is to offer a fresh curriculum with primary focus on students’ current, future and practical communications skills, based on proven pedagogical approaches.

The specification is a vocational qualification at Entry Level for non-native Chinese language students; it is aimed at people who will be working or interacting with Chinese clients, colleagues or businesses.

Candidates can use the units to build a basic foundation in a difficult language, in the most effective, time-efficient and enjoyable manner.

Emphasis is on vocabulary and phrase patterns.The units focus on speaking and listening. Each unit is structured to cover the essential listening / speaking and cultural points necessary to fulfill the identified business need.

This course can serve effectively as a foundation for a new course or infused into an existing course.

The qualifications provide a route for the development of an individual’s skills in languages to support them in achieving Entry Level of the National Qualifications Framework.

This course is focused on developing conversational skills on everyday and commercial matters, either in person or through communication channels. Students are introduced key skills in listening, speaking and cultural issues. Two course levels are currently being offered.

The Course may be delivered via the GoChinese multimedia platform, rich with learning points and commentary that guide learners and help address their questions.
