(Head of Thameside Primary, Caversham)

A teacher for over 30 years, Headteacher for 16 years in three different schools in Slough, Maidenhead and Reading.

Jane has a wealth of experience in providing INSET for teachers and schools as she was a member of the LA science support team in the 80’s for almost two years when the science national curriculum was being developed.

Thameside is often used by the LA for piloting various ICT strategies; both the HT and IT coordinator are on a number of IT linked working groups, steering groups and committees both for the curriculum and administrative ICT use.

Although a competent IT user Jane does not see herself "to be any sort IT whiz"; the skills she brings to the SLICT course are much more about leadership and management; as an experienced HT she has lead and managed many and varied changes over the last 15 years.
