Mike was in secondary teaching and leadership roles for 19 years.   Since then, as independent consultant he has worked with a wide variety of schools both in the UK and overseas on a variety of continuing professional development programmes.

Mike is a course director, consultant and facilitator of NCSL Strategic Leadership of ICT (SLICT) programme.  Working with NCSL, he is a writer and designer of SLICT Modules and NCSL BSF leadership programme.  He is currently leading teams delivering the BSF leadership development programme.

As a senior educational consultant with ICAA he has provided training, support and consultancy to a variety of school improvement initiatives for schools and LEAs, assisting school senior and middle managers to explore the potential of ICT in teaching, learning and management.

His specific areas of expertise include the use of technology to facilitate Learning and Teaching, and as Director of The Learning Home, he has researched ways in which home/school learning can be supported by adaptive online learning environments. He is an accredited ICT Mark Assessor, Steljes Smartboard trainer and Dartfish Video trainer
