ICAAE are launching a new and exciting range of GCSE International specifications in ICT, Business and Product Design.

These GCSE International offer centres and candidates a wide choice of optional units, which, when added to the core, will give informatively titled and focussed qualifications.

These GCSE International are unique in that each specification:

• is made up of two units: one core compulsory unit and one optional unit
• has a weighting of 50% for each unit
• assesses each unit through an externally set and marked examination, which may be taken on screen or via a traditional paper based examination
• may be taken in either one or two years
• in contrast to other GCSE International there are no controlled assessments          

ICAAE have been working with schools for nearly 30 years. We initially gained status as an Ofqual approved Vocational Awarding Body in 2001 and subsequently gained our GCSE status in September 2008. We are one of only six GCSE awarding bodies in the UK. You will be pleased to learn that we are currently preparing to launch our new GCSE International qualifications, starting September 2010.
