Though very similar to the Independent Schools training our materials provide flexibility to allow it to be modified to suit all schools outside the UK.

The Training Programme will encourage the use of ICT in the curriculum as part and parcel of everyday tasks. The programme will provide exemplar materials and ideas of schemes of work for each year group in each key stage, showing good practice in the use of ICT within the classroom environment.

Teachers working with these materials have the opportunity to develop relevant levels of knowledge and understanding about when, when not and how to be able to use ICT within their teaching.

The programme contains selected learning units to enable the teacher to attain a specified level of competence and with each level being self-contained, the teacher can work through the units without having to follow a serial or sequenced pathway of learning.

ICT should enhance what you do. With support given through the Netg Skills Builder CD-Rom and training materials, we hope that, by the end of the training, teachers will be more confident in the use of ICT within the curriculum.

How we perform

ICAA was the second largest provider for the New Opportunities Fund ICT Teacher Training Programme and was involved in the programme from its conception in 1999.

Throughout the delivery of the NOF ICT Teacher training programme ICAA were consistently awarded an A* rating by the TTA for Quality Assurance.

ICAA mentored 1500 schools, covering 30,000 teachers, involved in this scheme, of which 80% completed their training programme.

ICAA have also delivered this training programme to 25 Independent Schools and 50 International Schools diversely in Australia, Dubai, Hong Kong, Japan, Qatar, Sri Lanka and Switzerland.
